Departure for Arbois, the home of Pasteur and the capital of Jura wines—wines distinguished by their sophisticated range of grape varieties. A tour through the extraordinary landscapes of the Wine Route, followed by a visit to a local winemaker in Arbois for a tasting.

Then, the return journey via Salins-les-Bains includes a guided tour of the former saltworks—a UNESCO World Heritage site—where rock salt, the "white gold" of the Middle Ages, was extracted from saltwater springs.
