Every third weekend in October, the Fête du Ventre celebrates the star products of Normandy’s gastronomy in the historic districts of Rouen: cheeses (notably the four AOPs – Neufchâtel, Livarot, Camembert and Pont-l’Évêque), cream, apples, cider, perry, andouille from
Vire, seafood, Normandy tart, teurgoule, milk jam, Isigny caramels…
Over 150 local producers, often dressed in traditional Norman costume, come to meet you to showcase and offer tastings of their specialities. A festive atmosphere is guaranteed, with cooking demonstrations, bands and brass bands bringing the streets of Rouen to life – a city that holds UNESCO’s ‘Creative City of Gastronomy’ designation. The Fête du Ventre is a culinary event not to be missed!
